Caltrop, hand-forged from steel
The so-called caltrop consists of four sharp nails, from which three are forming the feet, while one nail always points straight vertical upward and can harm the enemies or their horses badly.
It has been used as defensive weapon even by the Romans.
In Medieval thousands of it were thrown all over the battlefields to weaken the opposing cavalry.
Our caltrops are hand-forged from one single piece of steel in such a manner that the single nails have been split off in warm state.
We strongly advise against using the caltrops as a weapon.
They should only be used for authentic demonstration.
