Spangenhelmet with cheek guards and mail aventail
Very beautiful and fully battle-ready replica of a Spangenhelmet, type Baldenheim. This type arose in the course of the 5th century and spread to all Germanic as well as to the Slavic tribes during the 6th century. Therefore it’s excellent for performing a Germanic or Slavic warrior of early medieval.
This version has been developed especially for re-enactment and is of very robust 2mm steel construction. The helmet has two cheek guards of steel, which are covered with leather and clad inside. Chin-straps from leather are fastened to the cheek guards. In addition the helmet consists of an aventail made of non-riveted chain weave.
A riveted, high-class, and adjustable padded cloth liner is included.
This helmet is available in three sizes (S, M and L).
